We teach acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and ukulele!
Guitar: Our guitar teachers teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical guitar lessons on electric and acoustic guitars. Beginner students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading, and theory. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We encourage students to bring CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.
Ukulele is a similar instrument as the guitar, but are easier to play for young students. They are smaller and the strings are easier to press down. Plus, they sound amazing and are very popular in music right now!
Our teachers can even help you with guitar repair: such as the set up of your guitar or replacing your strings!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN TO PLAY GUITAR, UKULELE OR MANDOLIN?
There is no set answer of how long it takes to learn to play. With regular practice a basic level of playing can be accomplished in a few months. Most of our students take lessons on a long term basis because they want to be constantly improving and they find the lessons enjoyable.
I DON’T HAVE ANY MUSICAL BACKGROUND OR ABILITY. CAN I STILL HELP MY CHILD PRACTICE?
Yes. Even if you don't have a musical background you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice. By simply monitoring that they are doing exercises a certain number of times per day the student will progress. Parents will occasionally sit in on their child's music lesson to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound or how the student should be positioning their hands. We also send lesson notes weekly and sometimes create videos to help in the most effective way possible.

Foxboro School of Music has NO REGISTRATION FEES and offers the largest family discount in Massachusetts for multiple lessons/family members. Our unique, all-inclusive lessons are charged at a rate of $165 for weekly 30-minute lessons. Rather than paying on a per-lesson basis, we charge a monthly membership (equal payments every month) to keep your monthly billing consistent and predictable. We accept credit card auto-payment only.
